Photographer's Note

Between 1613 - 1619, the University of Oxford constructed a two-storey quadrangle around Duke Humphrey's Library (now known as Bodleian) to provide space for the delivery of lectures.

Each discipline taught was clearly denoted by an inscription above the doorway in the quadrangle in which (Schola Mvsicae) The school of Music being one of them

I suppose that is Latin words (or Greek) given by Sir Thomas Bodley due to his well-learned Latin, Greek and Hebrew

The aged and erosion over more than 3 centuries makes it even nicer visually
