Hi Brian
You're going to cringe when I start with a rendition of The Star of The County Down, aren't you? Well I'll save you the embarassment. But this image certainly evokes the story in the song, we're not just in the right County, but even in the right town! This shot is more daring than the previous one in the series as it includes sky - always difficult when the extremes of shade and light are so harsh. But you did really well here. The little puddle in the foreground near the bridge are a nice additional element and of course those Autumn colours are beautifully captured. Jeez it must have been dark to still need 1/2 a second at ISO1600! And not a hint of noise. Good to see that some of the forests are being protected, as you say, there are so few. Once again, you've done a marvellous job, congrats.
Have a lovely day

Hi Brian
beautifully executed autumnal shot, with such appealling light and composition. The bridge juts makes you want to cross the stream and kick the leaves around. Superb!
Regards - Brian.

Hello Brian - It always pleases me to hear of ancient woodlands being protected, I love walking in woods and this one with the autumn light filtering through the trees looks so inviting. I want to kick the dried leaves and hear then crunch and rustle! A lovely shot. Kind regards Rosemary

Hi Brian,
a delicious autumnal image in this capture, in which you have caught such a special atmosphere of this season, and its beautiful colors in the forest, under a nice light.
I like the composition with the wooden bridge in foreground and the dead leaves that cover the ground.
A beautiful work.

Hi Brian,
indeed there are not too many woods in Ireland and when I really think about it I could not point out a place where you could actually walk into a forest. May be some places in Wicklow Mts.
Very attractive autumnal composition with amazing colors. The carpet of the golden leaves looks very impressive. I like the little bridge which make a nice point to focus on.
Excellent capture,
M

Hi again Brian
This is a gorgeous location, great time of day and season, and the colours look realistic. Thanks for avoiding P'shop vividness (in your shot of the barn in Armagh the sky for me is too brightly blue; I bet you're going to tell me that's how it really was!)
Cheers
