Photographer's Note
This lovely, green-lit building along the bank of the river Clyde in Glasgow looks very much as it is called: “Armadillo”. It is known as the Scottish Event Campus Armadillo. The bridge on the left is called Bells’s Bridge and it was the point of view for my other blue hour photo taken on that walk which I presented before.
Even though I consider myself quite experienced with blue hour photography, I have faced two slightly surprising challenges during this session.
First: The day was so very much bright and clear and long that when the sky in the east was already very much dark, in the west the sky was bright for a very long time. For the first time I have seen this effect so strongly pronounced, as if the half of the sky was already in the nighttime, while the other half still in the daytime.
The other challenge was that all my favourite compositions were possible from bridges, and all the bridges were suspension bridges, which were shaking a lot when anybody was passing through. There were not many people passing by at this time of the day, but it was enough to cause the vibrations. I took some photos on the shaking bridges in Dublin or Newcastle and the pictures turned out great, so I hoped the camera will not pick up the subtle vibrations but it did.
The only pics which were clear and sharp were the ones which I took from the riverbanks, so these are the only ones I am going to share even though the compositions are probably less optimal.

Hi Mariusz,
Tricky situation indeed. Also those bridge lights are quite strong creating bright reflections. Combination of the bridge and the Armadillo is excellent. And green illumination very special.

Hello Mariusz,
A great photo of this bright green Armadillo, surrounded by lots of blue tones. The composition is nice with the bridge at left. The smooth water reflected the colours and light really beautifully.

Pozdrav.
Lep pogled i trenutak, interesantan i dobar tekst ...
Lepo mesto na vodi sa mostom i arhotekturom na obali, dobro pokazano sa lepim bojama, kontrastom, perspektivom i uhvacenim trenutkom.
Lep refleks na vodi i moderna arhitektura u zeleno.
Dobar rad, lepa fotografija.
Zelim vam lepu i mirnu noc, sve najbolje.

Czesc Mariusz
Lubie ogladac Twoje "niebieskie" zdjecia.
pozdrawiam

mariusz
a special view (Made by Mariusz)ever a success.
I liked a lot the green breaking the domination of the blues.the shapes are very beautiful, but for me it looks more like a croissant. haha. I crossed this area under a very big sun, the only moment in UK I felt unconformable with the heat.
take care

Hello Mariusz, a very successful shot with the Armadillo bathed in that emerald green light.
I found your notes about the varying light very interesting.
The bridge with its white lights is a good leading line.
Kind regards, Jean.

Green and blue tones prevailed this evening photo from the waterfront, Mariusz.
Modern "Armadilo" and the bridge reflected upon the smooth watrer surface, notable long exposure applied.
Have a nice sunday,
Ike

Hi Mariusz
i totally understand your delima here, its so frustrating when the bridge is shaking and you need to take a long exposure shot. but in the end look at this final result, very strong.
love the star effects on the white lights, love the contrasting greens and blues. this is awesome. cheers
