Photographer's Note

Another picture from the archives, I'm afraid, as I haven't had much time recently to be out and about with my camera.

This is the old station building at Bo'ness (real name Borrowstounness) at the east end of the historic and preserved Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway. After the closure of the original railway and the demolition of the original station buildings, the Scottish Railway Preservation Society had the old station buildings from Wormit, at the south end of the Tay Rail Bridge, dismantled and brought to this site and rebuilt here.

The Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway is a fascinating place to visit for those interested in steam locomotives and railway preservation. Children can also enjoy days out there with "Thomas the Tank Engine" days and also, around Christmas time, ride on "Santa's Polar Express". Well worth a visit at any time of year.

Shot in RAW and converted and edited in PSE6.
