Another one of the traditional boats' fleet of Granville. This one, called Black Joke, is very special because she has known three centuries. Her current owner bought her in 1980 and has tracked back her stories, after a very long search.

Black Joke was build in Charlton (Kent, England) in 1890. Her hull is typical of English yachts of these time : long, deep and very narrow. She sailed with various owners and in different countries (England, Belgium, France...) all through the 20th century, until she was found in a very sorry state by her current owner, a French man from Granville, who just fell in love with her. He did a lot of work on the hull, the interior, the mast and sails, and Black Joke celebrated happily her 100th birthday in 1990, and is still sailing in the 21th century.

Here, just leaving Saint Helier in Jersey, she is greeted by a couple of dolphins.
