Photographer's Note

This is an old farm barn, that I have followed its decay over the last ten years.. Taken from my vehicle window- the light was just right,, I have taken a little lisence in the pp work.. In some ways it looks more like an artists impression.. I believe it brings a new dimension to my work as I stive for improvement in my new found hobby

hi rich,
this is a lovely winter landscape. the frost covered ground and heavy cloud cover work superbly together to create a fascinating scene. the ruined house is positioned perfectly and the tones in the stonework contrast superbly against the cooler winter colours. the atmosphere is so peaceful.

Looks like beautiful oil painting. Very picturesque winter scenery, very well taken and composed. Great view at the farmland. The branches of trees and grass covered by morning frost are fantastic. Very impressive shot.My compliments

Hello Rich ,
Even it is a little sad , I love this theme , too . A moody winter composition . I like especially how golden tonalities of ruined walls and dry grass provide some color to the composition .

I like the nostalgic mood of the picture and a sunray illuminates the old barn through the overcast sky. Nice hues of frost on the trees branches.

Hi Rich,
simple subject but interesting way of capturing it. I like the composition, especially the frosted grasses or bushes in the foreground. The image is very clear and crispy. Nice muted colors.

Hello Rich,

A gorgeous picture which, as you say, has a wonderful "painerly" quality to it - reminiscent of Constable or one of the other wonderful landscape painters.

What really makes this one is the delicious soft light - how the golden tones of the ruined building are so beautifully lit against a heavy and darker sky. And, of course, the trees and vegetation bright with frost stand out beautifully too.

Excellent composition, gorgeous light, perfect exposure, fine colours and stunning details and sharpness.
