Photographer's Note
Just south of Widemouth Bay on the North Cornwall Coast is Milook where serious surfers spend their time.
There are also some really interesting levels of rock strata which are just visable on the distant cliff face.

Hello Leslie
A very pleasing beach that we have here. Good framing with the big rock in the foreground acting as anchor point for the eye, very nice light and colors.

Bonsoir, Leslie,

Hello Les,
I've just seen Luciano's critique of this picture and, while I agree with him wholeheartedly that it is a beautiful photograph, I'm not quite sure that it's HDR, is it? The fact that I can see your exif data suggests it is not HDR and also it looks too "real" to me to be HDR too!
Anyway, you have given us an interesting note and a very fine photograph with which to illustrate it. Your composition is nicely balanced, the large foreground rock (which also has evidence of strata or at least "veins") is nicely balanced by the large cliff face on the right. The lighting is lovely and the sky is just fabulous. Lovely vibrant colours, perfect exposure and exquisite details and sharpness.
Beautiful!
Kind Regards,
John.

Hello Les,
Great composition with this interesting juxtaposition between foreground and background rocks. I like the light and colours. Superb rendering of the textures in the rocks. I wish you and Gladys a pleasant Bank Holiday weekend and hope the weather keeps fine for you.

Hi Les
a beautifully executed and presented shot from my favourite English county. Just do not get enough time to visit unfortunately, but shots like this make me realise I should make more of an effort. Stunning!
Have a great weekend - Brian.

Hi Leslie,
a wonderful and poetic composition. The rock in the foreground is a stunner in itself. Such a weird texture with the intermittent golden lines, looks amazing. The sky and the sea have a watercolor feel about them. Lovely.
Have a great weekend

Ciao Leslie
Ciao e buon fine settimana

Good Morning Les,
This grabbed my attention immediately, with the sculptured rock reminding me of a very angry face. The water line, then, makes a very natural link to the headland of which you speak. A really well balanced shot.
Have a great w/e,
Bev :-)

I love the wildness of the N Cornwall coast Leslie. Here you show the cliffs and the rough shingles on the beach which I can almost hear clattering as the waves push up against them. Good use of the FG rock, it adds depth and anchors the view with its solid for. Attractive work especially with that wonderfully detailed sky. Warm regards Rosemary

Dear Les
What a beautiful beach scene with these enchanting rocks and attractive colours. The clouds are beautiful and I'm fascinated by the pebbles in the sand, something we don't really see here in Oz. Glad to hear the weather's getting better for you. Take care.
All the best to you both
