Photographer's Note

Glenariff Forest Park is a National Nature reserve is the Queen of the Glens of Antrim and is considered to be the most beautiful of Antrim's nine Glens. The forest covers 1185 ha and features many beautiful walks , rivers and waterfalls.

Ess-na-larach waterfall is the largest and most spectacular in this forest park. The roar of the water is deafening and its quite difficult to keep the camera lens dry with all the spray. I think I used a CPL filter and also a ND 1.2 to get a longer shutter speed of 5 seconds. This image got high commendations in a Discover Northern Ireland Photography competition which I entered and won with a different image in a different category :)
