Photographer's Note
We have had some chilly nights and misty mornings over the last few days.
This shot was taken at the entrance to Netherbridge farm on Wednesday morning.

Hello Leslie,
This shot appears like a lithograph and a very beautifully composed one! The path is perfectly placed to guide to a strong vanishing point, and there is a figure to assist!
You have collected some excellent details in the way of edging stones, daffodils and a line of diminishing trees. Then, there is the mood of the mist, to contribute to the atmosphere. It is delightful.
I think it would be interesting if you noted any pp work that you have undertaken.
Have a lovely w/e,
Bev :-)

Hi Les
Turning it into bl/w really makes this shot come alive. I think this is superior to your previous shot from more or less the same location.
Terrific composition with that lonely figure just so perfectly placed. I also like the noise and grainy effect here, resulting in a timeless picture. The lines on the sky are a bit weird, though. Are they meant to add a bit of surrealism to the scene? Fascinating, but strange...
My favourite detail, though, are the daffodils on the side of the road. They don't even need colour to shine here.
Great shot & have a fine weekend.
Benny
PS: I just noticed the "previous shot from more or less the same location", which I refered to, was by Jade's gran. ;)

Hi Les
thick fog here as I write this. This image has a really retro feel and atmosphere to it. A season that comes around every year and an enticingly beautiful B&W image that has a haunting quality about it too! Like this a lot.
Enjoy your weekend - B.

Hello Les,
I like the composition very much and the use of black and white to create the mood, helped by the grain effect. The person on the track makes a fine focal point and contributes much to the great feeling of depth. The swirling lines in the sky are an unusual addition and add interest to an otherwise blank area. I just can't decide whether I like them or not, a matter of personal taste I guess.

Hi Leslie. The magnificent tree looks as if it's etched into the scene. The man with the dog contributes to the poetic mood (you didn't feel like composing a little poem here?) I love the PP overall, the slightly grainy look but the treatment of the sky takes the scene into another realm, whereas I like nature rooted in the here and now- like the man taking his dog for a walk. Regards. Klaudio.

Bonjour Leslie,

The delicate tracery of bare branches, the lane with single figure and the wonderfully textured FG make for a superb B&W shot Les. Even the daffodils play their part in the overall composition. A beautiful evocative shot, I'm not sure about the lines in the sky but for the rest excellent!
Warm regards

hi Leslie
A good b&w shot well composed
But honestly I'm really puzzled with the lines in the sky. What can that be !? Have you some explanation ?
Best regards, all the best for the WE

Hi Les
certainly looks bleak and cold with this b&w rendition. Not sure about the sky component, but the foreground and lane come out really nice.

Hello Les,
A very good composition and a picture with excellent depth.
I like the view of that lonely person walking to the village almost absorbed by the fog.
Most of all I like the trees and their branches resembling a pen and ink drawing. Absolutely wonderful!
I like less that grainy effect in the sky. But a very remarkable photograph.
Best regards, Paul

Howdy Les,
Picturesque monochrome scene with the road tracks leading into the misty distance, giant mature tree limbs on display, and a few flowers hidden.
Well done,
Cheers,
Ray

The noise and lines in the sky are quite disturbing, but who cares. The overall ambience is superbly exposed. I just love it. Another wonderful B&W image. Excellent choice.
best regards,
M
