Photographer's Note

Well, as a tourist, a visit to Scotland wouldn't just feel right without trying to find the Lochness Monster at Loch Ness.

Yeah its touristy, but it had to be done.
Actually, the main attraction and feature is Urquhart Castle - that's the real reason we drove down here.

And as you can see we didn't exactly have the best of weather, the conditions were not favourable to say the least. In fact it was raining most of the time we visited the Castle grounds.

What was once one of the largest Castles in all of Scotland, only ruins lay on the hills now. You can easily walk the grounds and imagine yourself standing here back in the 13th century. The best part of whats left had to be the tiny dungeon/prison. Man, I would not have wanted to be that guy - cold, hardly any protection from the elements, confined small space, the only comfort were stones all around you, it wouldn't take long to loose your mind in there.

Nothing too spectacular to show you, but I wanted to include it on my chronological TE tour of the UK. I'll post 2 more WS photos if you're interested.
