Photographer's Note

Mary Shelley wrote the book Frankenstein in this House in Marlow, Bucks. in 1817 shortly after being married to Percy Shelley the Poet. They only lived there a year, and moved constantly due mainly to dept.
Percy drowned in an accident and left her a widow at age 24.
The House is a Grade II listed building, and cost 175 pounds to build, it was recently sold for just on a million pounds.
