Photographer's Note
This is an old farm house in the Lancashire Pennines. It has all the features of farmhouses built over 200 hundred years ago: the walls are very thick and built of random stone, the building is quite low, the windows are small and mullioned and the roof is made from stone slates, carrying an enormous weight. As the house is old, I tried to give it a 'period feel' by presenting it in sepia.
pp very little, just used photoshop to remove colour, added border and resized.

Hello, Beverley.
A very good picture indeed and very nicely presented in sepia. Good that it hasn't been too heavily processed either. Just a wee pity you lost the tops of the chimney pots.
Best Wishes,
John.

Hello Beverley,
well choosen the sepia, I think that colors would lessen his ancient character, making visible some modern particulars.
Another of your charming houses!

Hi Beverley,
It is very good idea to make this over 200years old build, sepia tone. This color is very suitable to this title. Good choosing

Hi Bev,
The sepia format works very well here giving this old beauty a timeless feel.
Love the tightly cropped shrubs that typically surround these lovely English countryside homes.
Good idea to include the old lamp post and to avoid the satellite dish if there was one.
Not many such homes in North America due to the abundance of cheap lumber.
Regards, Tom
