Photographer's Note
A longish exposure taken down the naze (Walton on the Naze) in essex on a very stormy eve. I got soaked but it was worth it.

Hi Chris,
This is such an incredible shot; the water white lines due to long exposure time further accentuates the sturdiness of the rock. Good selection on the aperture and exposure time!
Thumbs up!

Hi Chris,
Nice shot. 3 seconds work well here. What kind of lense did you use on your D80? 10-20 Sigma? Great dramatic sky. Could have been had a bit heavier in post-processing with the highlights / variations. I guess you did not use a ND Grad filter? But still dramatic! Thanks for sharing.

A great great idea and a great execution, of coruse the result with that sky contrasting the softness of the sand and water make very special your photo.

Yes!!!! Indeed that is a great shot!!!! I really like the swirving lines, the water draining away, the clouds. Excelent!!!
Did you compose it from different shots? THe sky is so still, I would've thought you took 2 shots and composed the final.
Congratulations!
Pablo.

Belle composition avec une superbe profondeur de champ. On a une sensation étrange en regardant l'image, comme si tout était aspiré (eau, nuages) par un point situé ŕ l'horizon.Trčs belle photo, Chris!

Hi Chris,
I like this simple but very effective composition! I love the soft water effect from the slow shutter speed and the cloud formations are superb! Well done and TFS

Cette pose longue est trčs bien réalisée, le choix du cadrage est également judicieux.
