Photographer's Note
Taken during a very dry winter due to the jet stream being unusually far north meaning that weather systems were pulling moisture into the north Atlantic and away from the Scottish mountains. As a result incredible visibilty and clarity of light was to be had, very reminisent of light found in the Alps and Himalayas.
Image shot across a drought stricken burn across Glen Shiel towards the Kintail ridge.Heavy contrast between fore and back meant 0.6 and 0.9ND grads used to balance image

Hi Fergus,
I love the colurs in this landscape. Partcularly the light and shades attract me. The shot is slightly OOF, but this deosn't reduce the beauty.
Still.......ample scope for improvement.
A nice attempt though.
Take care.

Very good sense of line and gradation. Every part of the shot contributes. There's even a visual echo, as it were, of the land formations in some of the cloud formations.
