Photographer's Note
Tombs of the Kings (Royal tombs) is a necropolis in Paphos, a place of burials since 3rd century BC. It is a UNESCO world heritage site. More than 100 underground graves carved in the rocks were found at the cemetery, now partly covered with sand dunes.
The necropolis was built during the Hellenistic period (3rd century BC), in this place were buried the higher administrative officials, outstanding personality and nobility of the ancient Paphos.
The name "royal graves" was inspired by the sheer grandeur and majesty of the tombs.

Hello Ryszard, I was totally unaware of this site, so thank you for the introduction.
It covers quite an extensive area.
Amazing that it has been partly hidden by the sand dunes.
The two people give us a sense of scale.
Thanks for sharing, regards Jean.

Hello Ryszard,
The "real" Valley of the Kings is no doubt much larger and more impressive than this, but this is absolutely interesting enough, at least if a journey to Egypt is not possible. There is clearly quite a lot to explore, and the three photos give us good views of the area. In the main photo I obviously enjoy the inclusion of the couple leaning over the wall to get a good lock.
Best regards,
Gert

Ryszard, that necropolis was carved in the rocks. Several centuries ago it was an excellent way to preserve the dead bodies and protect them from the bad weather. Fine colors, good sharpness, interesting photo note, regards.

Hello Ryszard,
Great view of this necropolis with its ancient ruins. The colours are great and very well-saturated. The contrast of the green grass with the warm hues of the ancient stone is very attractive.

Hello Ryszard,
Three beautiful photos that give us a nice picture of the valley of the kings and the surrounding area.
The couple on the right of the photo caught my eye. A nice human touch in the composition.
Excellent work
Be careful and stay safe, groet Rob

Hello Ryszard,
Very interesting burial place in the barren rocks but in a green environment.
The pictures in the WS give us an even better idea of the site.
Excellent clarity and sharpness!
Best regards, Paul
