Cyprus has 320 days of sunshine a year, so it's no surprise that people use solar energy in every house. That's what roofs with water heaters look like. See also the photo in WS

This looks a bit funny, but even more it's very interesting. I have seen quite a lot of these solar panels and water tanks in Greece, but I can't remember any view where they made such a strong impact as here. Maybe I just didn't look carefully or found a good angle. But this is quite impressive.

This looks like a scene from a space film!
The water heaters like like robot heads emerging from the roofs!
Having said that, this is a very attractive photograph, with quite a limited colour palette, directing us to look closely at the buildings.

Ryszard, the almost permanent sunshine through the year is cleverly used by Paphos people. The roofs are equipped with water reservoirs heated by the energy produced by the solar panels. Fine colors, good sharpness, interesting photo note, regards.

A great photo of the roofs of the houses, all those water heaters add a very nice pattern to the photo, although I am not sure whether they make a really aesthetically welcome addition to towns.

Solar hot water and power are very popular in Australia (including on my house) but this design (and they all look the same) is quite different to ours.
The incredible number of them has made for a great photo.

Hi Ryszard,
Sheer amount of fairly uniform water tanks makes this view impressive. And it is good that you show the WS too, as the angle of the main view is not optimal for showing solar panels. I wonder why the tanks are not black to maximize the pickup of solar energy.
