Photographer's Note

This beautiful small lake located on about 50 Km. east of Orumiyeh city, near Iran-Turkey border. There is a very beatiful fall near here which is fantastic in winter.

il tuo paese mi piace immensamente per la natura selvaggia del paesaggio che appare incontaminato ed offre spettacoli grandiosi, sia che si tratti di catene montuose che di deserti infiniti.
In queste terre non sottoposte a sfruttamento intensivo come purtroppo avviene nei paesi dell'occidente la bellezza della natura non appare contaminata da elementi estranei e per questo piů bella.
Anche in questa tua foto gli elementi della natura fominano incontrastati e la presenza della neve li rende ancora piů affascinanti, come questi piccolo lago da te ripreso con buona tecnica, tale da esaltarne le migliori caratteristiche.

Long time ago I travelled by train from Tabriz to Tehran and I remember that the train ran along the shores of a very beautiful lake of which I believe that the name was Orumiyeh.
I'm not sure if it's the same lake that you show here. My trip was in summertime and of course the landscapes looked very different then. Also that lake was very large and your note mentions a small one.
You captured a very beautiful winter and mountain scenery here and the circle formed by the non frozen water provides an attractive composition.
I think that the man at the right walks on dangerous ground (or ice) ...
