Photographer's Note

This young man is carrying a religious flag named "Alam" in yearly street mourning. The street mourning holds for honoring Imam Hossein's martyrdom in Iran and Shia counties.
"Alam" is a heavy steel flag, a symbol of flags carried in old Arabian battles.

Really well captured, well composed, and interesting picture. And a pic in the very TE spirit, teaching a lot about a country rituals. The young man looks so tired, the flag must be very heavy. I remeber also some catholic rites, for example in Spain or in South Italy, where men carry this way very heavy Madonnas along city streets all the night

Hi Reza,
Great composition and expression. I specially like the alam and the hand - well done. But seems a bit blurred/not sharp. Could've used some post production.
