Photographer's Note

People of "Makhmur refugee camp for Kurds" demonstrating against war - but for peace.

There were mostly young inhabitants who had put on traditional Kurdish clothes and who demonstrated for peace in Iraq.

We wish the same and hope Iraq`s future will be a democratic one...

Thank you, Ferhat, for showing these pictures of Kurd refugees in their own land. I just didn't know that. Many of your photos are beautiful, all are interesting.

Interesting scene from a difficult part of the world. I wish you provided more info, like where are they refugees from. I also wish I could see more of the faces. I look forward to viewing more of your photos. Best wishes.

Hallo Ferhat,

ja Frieden wollen wir doch (fast) alle. Das Problem ist nur, dass manche Leute durch Krieg Frieden erreichen wollen. Irgendwer zahlt immer drauf.

Wie Hakan schon sagte, schade, dass nicht mehr Gesichter direkt zu sehen sind (speziel das von der Dame rechts).

Trotzdem: Guter Blickwinkel, die Botschaft ist klar, und das knall-lila Transparent vor dem kargen Gebirgshintergrund macht sich auch gut.
