Photographer's Note

Two pictures (one WS) of a kingfisher that was posing for me on a wire.

Now, as very few people out on the streets, cars and other vehicles not riding, birds "allow" themselves to come closer feeling free to hang around the urban neighborhoods.
Took this picture on a Saturday morning very close to home, had to take swift action before it flew away…

This is the white-throated kingfisher, its scientific name Halcyon smyrnensis, is a regular visitor to my neighborhood during spring time, announces his presence with a special squawk mostly sounds as singing.
Adult Kingfisher bird can be 25cm - 28cm in length, and grow blue feathers.
A beautiful bird which I had posted several pictures on past years.

Pictures were converted from RAW, main photo is F5.0, 1/640, ISO100, spot, cropped all sides.
