Photographer's Note

Two pictures of a Woodpecker which I heard it on my window and was chasing it several trees along my street near home.

Chosen the main photo despite the branch crossing the picture in the foreground, because it shows better the beautiful B&W feathers on its back, the long beak and the red "hat".

The Syrian woodpecker (Dendrocopos syriacus) is mostly 20-23cm long, and migrating from southeastern Europe to the near Middle-Eastern countries (from Wikipedia).

Both pictures converted from RAW, cropped all sides, main post is F4.0, 1/500, ISO100, spot.
