Photographer's Note

Sunday afternoon I heard an unusual squawk in my neighborhood, took my camera and found a lost chick in one backyard near home.
It was terrified, running around in noisy screaming, "escaped" to different corner when approached with the camera. But with patient I managed few photos of. Minutes later it just moved to yet another backyard through the fence, shown in one of the WS's, than disappeared…
Recognized immediately it is called in Hebrew "Karvan", or as learnt in the link from Wikipedia, this bird named is Eurasian Stone-Curlew.
Only in recent years I often hear them active in early morning hours (see its big eyes, like an owl) and do not remember ever seeing them before 2014 in my town, nor when settles around urban places, as those birds migrate through Israel from spring to autumn.

All photos are RAW, main picture is F6.3, 1/60, ISO100, cropped sides.
