Photographer's Note

Through a dark slit, appears Al Khazneh, also called the Treasury of the Pharaoh, all pink in the light.

Its elegant lines make it one of the most beautiful sculptures of the ancient city of Petra in Jordan. The Nabataeans constructed it around 1st century BC. Petra is also called Petra the pink city, because of the characteristic colors of the rocks.

The entrance to the Treasury, comes after half an hour's walk through a long rocky corridor called the Sîq (view map).

The appearance of the Khazneh is a memorable moment, whose memory will remain forever.

The ancient city of Petra was elected in 2007 one of the seven new wonders of the world.
