Another viewpoint of this famous historical place.
Walking on the outer wall of the great castle...
On the left opens a view over the valley,
On the right is the inner castle ( Krak has 2 high walls: a second-smaller castle is built inside the outer-big one, as a double defense measure).
The space between the 2 walls was filled with water during invasions, creating another barrier to prevent reaching the inner castle.
With some imagination you can create a big battle scene going on here..a thousand years ago !
Time: about 10.30 AM
Only a slight sharpening effected to the picture.

I like this shot. At first I wasn't sure about the straight lines heading toward the center of the photo, but I do like how it reveals the bend in the wall and adds the "I wonder what's around the corner" mystique. Looks like a place I'd like to exdplore.

Hiya, wonderfully clear shot, nice natural lighting and colours, like how your have included many different stone sections and the view you get from the castle, very important defensively in those days, very nice composition, well captured!
