Photographer's Note

Another blue hour shot of the Hagia Sophia Byzantine Cathedral, later converted to a mosque with 4 minarets, (Aya Sofya) then to a museum in 1935, and just recently, back to a mosque. Taken from an outdoor rooftop restaurant. In the fg at right is part of the Basilica Cistern catacombs.

It must have very satisfying to have had an enjoyable meal and view this beautiful scene, at the same time.
You have done well to show the mosque so clearly against the blue hour sky.
There are enough f/g details, capturing figures, to clearly establish the huge scale of this mosque.

Hello Chris, a lovely blue hour shot. Just enough light in the sky to see the whole outline of the Cathedral, with the minarets and the dome beautifully illuminated.
I like the inclusion of the well lit street too.

Of course are the minarets and street the real eye catchers.

L'ancienne basilique et mosquée est impressionnante. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails de l'ancienne basilique bysantine Hagia Sophia. La lumičre de l'heure bleue a un effet spécial sur les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

A lovely blue hour photo of this historical building. There aren't many buildings that have been in continuous use for 1500 years. Good composition and exposure, with not much burning out of the highlights.

Great point of view.
Amazing effect. The sky is already quite dark but still well balanced with the artificially lit architecture.
