Istanbul Classics. Part Four: Chestnutting
It seemed that apart from kebabs, salted and roasted chestnuts are the most popular snacks on the streets of Istanbul.

I remember biting into a few of those while in Dubai. The scene is well captured with good lights and colours. Overall a superb perspective and pov that add value

Well, Jerzy, by now that's a popular snack in Portugal, as well ;-) I remember well those glasses of tea. Good piece of daily life street. I like the framing and I even would like the guy in the background with his head totally cropped as if he was a mannequin, next to that blue dress.

Hi Jerzy,
The most I liked in this daily life photo are, the small glass of Turkish tea, the cigarette (though I am not a smoker) and the concerned face of the chesnut seller. It is really a good capture :)
As Ricardo has said, it is also a popular snack in Portugal, which we share many similarities.
Kind regards,
Tolga

Chestnut kebab, rabbit blood tea, a man with a hopeless look, a cigarette, a faceless hero and a never existed lady next to him...
How many Istanbulean details are there in this shot!
Excellent framing and a very interesting observation...
Cheers,
Deniz

Ciekawe, ale czuję niedosyt, czegoś mi brakuje, poza głową faceta za markizą, rzecz jasna.
Ale za zamarzanie na Szabelni należy ci się jednak rekompensata.:))
Pozdrawiam!

The tea, the cigarette, the expression.....the roasted chestnuts......the stripey stall - I guess this must be an Istanbul street trader........nicely framed crop J - it captures the essence of life on the streets!

Hello Jerzy,
It's to see how people who don't live in Turkey see things differently than we do. I am not sure that I would decide to make the same framing, and yet, and I appreciatte the result very very much.
