Photographer's Note

"How did you get up there?" my little brother asked. He was on his tippy-toes, as if his toes would magically soar him up into the sky too.
"I flew," I answered.
"No you didn't. Liar!…. Did you?"
"Yup, I did. And you can't come up because you don't believe me."
My brother bounced up and down. "I believe! I believe! Can you take me up there too?"
"Sorry. Maybe someday when you're older."
"No fair! How come you get to fly and I can't?"
"Because you're doing it wrong. You have to flap your arms like this."
"That's what I'm doing!"
"That's all wrong. You'll never get it. Forget it; you'll never be able to fly."
"Take me up with you! Take me up with you!"
"No way! You did not believe me. And that hurt. So I am not taking you anywhere."
"Pleeeeease! Take me up there! I want to fly with you!!"
"Ok, ok. Don’t yell!. Take these wings of mine. They will become smaller when you wear them on”
“Wings? Where? I don’t see any wings”
“Hey, believe me! Boy, they’re invisible!”
“You have invisible wings??”
“Yes, sure I have”
“No you don't. Liar!…. Do you?”
“Belive me or I won’t take you up with me”
“Pleeeeease! Give me my wings! I want to fly with you!”
