A perfect composition for my taste.

I tend to admire creative, unusual crops in portraiture and the negative space -or as a friend of mine put it as "closed crop"- works very well here. It gives the atmosphere, and the fact that her eyes are turned towords right-side complements the scene.

Did you enchance the sharpness on her eyes?

Very well done.

Hello Ali - I really like this portrait. The muddy grey colours are fabulous and add so much mood and narrative to the shot. Excellent POV and composition, the twinkle in the lady's eyes make a good shot excellent! Warm regards rosemary

hi ali,
what an amazing portrait of this old lady. you have composed this picture perfectly with the woman to the side and the focus totally on her eyes. the light is managed superbly well to illuminate her face. the background is not at all distracting yet it displays alot to show the woman in her everyday surroundings. a beautiful picture.
