Beautiful Iztuzu Beach near Dalyan (Turkey), where Loggerhead Sea Turtles Caretta caretta nests. It is one of the last nesting grounds for this endangered turtle species. On the left there is freshwater Köycegiz Lake (Dalyan river delta) and on the right salt water of Aegean Sea. Very unique mixed ecosystem and the sandy beach separates lake from sea.

You can reach the beach by small boats via complicated labyrinth of small islands, lakes and waterways on Dalyan river delta. Fantastic trip.

People can stay at this beach only during the day from May to September, because it is nature reserve of turtles.
