Photographer's Note
"dede" is grandfather in Turkish and traditionally we call elderly man "dede", or uncle in Turkish for respect...if we don't know him, it is also a good way to start a conversation..
this old man sells hats he knits in front of Blue Mosque..I know him for years and I see him everytime in front of one of the doors..he knits all day long too..he is a very kind and smiling man...
ps. I bought the same he is wearing this time :)

Well Fusun, I do not care so much HOW you do it, on instinct or wahtever, your portraits are superb and seem to get better by the day. ((If it's instinct, is that the feminine instinct?, could I have ot too, then?)
Also the choice here for sepia is excellent, fis white beard is beautiful. Excellent work again, Fusun!

A very nice and loving portrait. The monochrome sepia suits it well. I would like to see the face a bit sharper and brighter. It is good that you tried to present this as a formal portrait with a mat and a frame, but IMO the white mat around the picture distracts from the man's face. If you would put a black "keyline" around the photo and make the mat darker, the face would stand out better.

its face has the same color that the bottom, can be is this because he is always at the same place and like a chameleon it is based in the landscape... I like too much

It's an excellent portrait. there is a beautiful light, the definition is perfect. sympathy radiates on its face.
Do you know that in french language "Dédé" is the diminutive of the André first name :o)

Hi Fusun. Again a very nice portrait from you. I must admit that this is the kind of photograph I'm just not able to do at the moment. The sepia rendering is simply perfect for this one IMO. A bloody marvellous picture fusun. Such a handsome man, and he seems very relaxed about his picture being taken too, which is to your credit. Your choice of toning adds alot to it, really brings out the textures of everything in the frame, which is also down to your perfect exposure. Also rate your composition very highly.

Excellent portrait, Fusun. I like the smiling dark eyes, and the long white beared. THe soft focus is wonderful here, IMO, and makes this shot warm and beautiful. Great shot.
