Photographer's Note
The 179 foot, three masted barque Picton Castle was entering its north American homeport of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia to host the Tall Ship festival of this city in Aug. 2004. The ship mission is deep-ocean sail training. The 300 ton steel barque was built in 1928. The sail training workshops on board include rigging, sail-making, boat handling and navigation.
treatment: cropped, changed to b&w and auto adjusted levels.

This is a great capture, Fanel! The choice of B&W and the way the contrast/brightness are set gives you the feeling of stepping into the era in which the ship was built! The border works well too.
I might suggest adjusting the tilt of the horizon just a bit.
Thanks for sharing - it is not often we get to have a glimpse into the past!

beau noir et blanc qui rappelle l'ancien temps ; petit défaut dans le niveau. A mon goűt ce c'est un peu flou mais globalement, il y a une certaine action qui se dégage de cette image et l'on ressent bien la puissance de ce navire.

Beautiful boat and nice catch with all the sails taking the wind. You feel power and elegance.
I regret that the picture seems to be fuzzy and is tilted to the right, and I feel that your B&W lacks a little contrast. I worked on that in a WS, but it's rather crude. Tell me what you think.
