Bay St-Paul nightime, a photo from Quebec, Central

Photographer's Note

This is my second shot from the same place. My first picture was of the bay itself. This one is of the small town of Baie St-Paul. This shot was also taken from my hotel room.

Again there has been no color ajustment in this shot. I just cropped, sharpened and added some contrast.

This one is nice, too. As with the previous picture, I can only congratulate you on your choice of hotel - what a view. Good composition where the lights in the foreground nicely lead the eye into the center of the image, where the night lights of Baie St-Paul can be explored in a pleasant winter setting. Great tones of dark blue. Good shot, Paul.

You framed this one very nicely. I really like the contrast of the lights against the dark sky. This is an impressive view from your hotel window.

I like this shot but still think that i would prefer it without the lights at the bottom. Nice winter ambiance in a blue dark night. Well done Paul.

nice play of lights. pink snow and illumination on the foreground look OK to me. But I'd prefer more contrast. There's no black in your picture, though in given conditions there should be a lot of black. I made a quick adjustment (see WS).

Jolie photo de nuit... L'éclairage en premier plan est charmant, l'image est bien balancée.

Suggestion: Remplacer le bleu du cadre par une couleurs provenant de l'éclairage. Si je n'avais pas déjŕ fait mes 2 WS du jour, je m'en chargerais.

Une dominante bleue qui est vraiment belle avec de jolie dégradés.
J'aime bien ce premier plan qui a de belle lumičre, elles donnent beaucoup vie a l'image.

I like this shot, Paul. The light at the bay and the bare tree create a very nice composition. I think I agree with steeve - crop or darken the light at the bottom.

Of blue variants, I think this must be something of the darkest blue I have seen. With no colour adjustment a think a very unusal light to capture. Well done Paul.
