Photographer's Note
It can be frustrating when you want to get on with spring planting in the fields and you wake up to find more snow instead of warm sunny conditions.
Such was the case this morning which meant losing a day in the fields while the tractors remained idle.
But over the years in farming,I have come to accept nature's unpredictable ways and simply wait for better conditions. And by this evening there were encouraging signs as the sun returned to melt the day's snow.Hopefully we can resume work tomorrow if we get some wind to dry the soil surface for seeding.
This is another in my Spring Crop Planting theme.

The snow may not be good for planting, but it makes for a great picture. I like the angle and how the tractor fills the frame. Good colors too. I can't believe you're still getting snow . . . although they're predicting it in the mountains here this week.

It seems that it's not only in Portugal that the weather is bad...
Again interesting notes about the agricultural activity. I miss the days when I went with my grandfather and his cows and sheeps to the fields...
Also good photo. The close up on the tractor creates an imposing and "agressive" image. The POV is excelent as well the details.

Yes I like this very fine spring picture Derek.
Fortunately we have had a very early spring over here.
Pls. visit for some May pixs from around the cootage (use the link under the pix), as you will see the nearby fjord is almost empty of water, but the last ice is still present..
