Photographer's Note

I took this picture a few days before my India trip. I just moved to a new city and am still sorting my stuff out, and this was the only picture I could find. Plus, with a new laptop, I've gotta get Photoshop and a few other things set up.

Jasper National Park is a world heritage sight and is located in Alberta, Canada. The park is huge: 10,878 square kilometres (4200 square miles) and has over 1200 km of hiking trails.

There's tons of wildlife and views like this are everywhere. This one was taken from a rest stop on the side of the road. If you pause to take too many pictures you can easily add a few hours to your journey. In this case I was in a hurry so I was limited to snapping pics from the side of the road.

You can learn more about Jasper National Park here.

***Post-processing: the usual - slight curves, levels, crop, resize, unsharp mask.

The wideness of this picture was inspired by Jacques Verkammen (there was some stuff in the foreground that needed to be cropped out!). You can find his gallery here.

Any comments/critiques are welcome! Thanks,
