Photographer's Note
Another angle of the 'pysanka' I posted yesterday. The color scheme is significant.
Bronze- Mother Earth and her fertility
White Silver- pureness , innocence, and birth
Yellow- prosperity and happiness.

Hello Karen,
A very nice capture of this enormous egg whose colours look superb against the soft blue of the sky.

This is so wierd; I've never seen anything like it. The trees and street furniture are giving us the scale. Your lpw POV accentuates the size too. original work

This is the better of two. Better colors and it's a better composition also. The position of the big egg gives more information on its shape. colors and size. I'm not sure about the white stick at left, it seems it doesn't belong to the scene and I would crop it out.

Karen,
what a remarkable shot. Totally surprsing view with the gigantic Pysanka. A perfect angle including several natural elements to give an ideia of the real size although having someone there to give additional reference would have been good too.

Hi Karen,
Great composition with fantastic intricate details captured here.
The colors are very clear.
The sharpness is excellent. I can imagine there is a sifnicant Ukrainian influence on the west of Canada.

Great exposure to show the colour in the pysanka. You have managed to capture it a great moment with the tree behind egg ready to give it a push.Ha! Ha!
Well done.

Hi Karen,
I like the amount of sky you captured in this shot and great blue colors! Very interesting subject matter too, it almost looks like the egg was added to the picture, but it's actually there, a giant egg! :o) I like how you included the tree to the left, it almost looks like the tree gives added support to hold up such a large egg. Great point of view and nice work!
Thanks for sharing,
Liz

Hello Karen,
I had no idea that Alberta had such a marvelous sculpture! I am always learning something new all the time on Trek Earth. The artist did a fantastic job and I would have a lot of fun taking photos of this huge sculpture from every angle possible. Excellent photograph and thanks for sharing this amazing outdoor masterpiece!

hi Karen,
this photo came up at random in your intro page, and I cannot resist commenting on it :) absolutely surreal sight, like meeting an ant the size of the dog or a bee as big as an eagle. I like a lot the contrast of patterns against the blue sky, and also that you have included the surroundings to let the viewer appreciate the scale of this thing. I seem to detect some compression artefacts, like pixelation around the edges of the trees, but they are small and take nothing away from this fascinating photo.
best,
Kristine
