I took this picture yesterday at Coal Harbour near Stanley Park. It was a quiet, still, cold day. Usually at this time of year the pampus grasses are all destoyed by the wind and weather, but this bunch was very fluffy.

A good idea, Cathy. The pampas grass is nice and fluffy. You might try using a shallower DOF (depth of field)to get the background out of focus, so there is more emphasis on the grass in the foreground. This is done by using a larger aperture, say F5.6 and focusing sharply on the fluff of the grasses. The other thing you might do is get the grass against the sky with no background. Try again! You have a good eye.
