Photographer's Note
Another scene from Pitt Polder in the Fraser Valley. The lake is to the left and the wetlands to the right, though a shallow lake has formed in the latter area. The mountains in the background are known as the Golden Ears. Usually there is much more snow on the peaks, but the West Coast has been experiencing very moderate, warm winters, reducing the snowpack.

Hi John,
I like these picture with a very strong centralized “vertical” element, like a road, a jetty, a dike or something like that. It gives a static but very strong scene. In this picture you cab see an arrow pointing to the mountains.
Well done, groet Rob

Nice compo, this road just leads our eyes off and up the mountain. The green beside the road is so rich and velvety looking.

Hi,
Long and winding road ... in this case 'straight' road. I could walk and walk to the end of the road with joy in this beautiful scenery.
Great shot. Thanks for sharing.

Amazing lines and depth here. It must be nice the drive in this polder and have the feeling of total freedom. Good photo, only some ugly lines/digital noice by the top of the mountains, although that is not very disturbing.

Great shot, John. I like the angle from which you took this picture. This allows the viewer to look directly in the direction of the mountains. I also like the nice green grass; you can almost smell Spring!

Great colour and composition, leading the eye into the "vanishing point". Am I imagining it, or does the image need a couple of degrees rotation CCW?

Wow, John, I love the straight shot of green right into the blue! What a fabulous shot, the colors are amazing. There is a touch of pixelation in the photo, maybe oversharpening. Love the shot anyhow!
