Nouvelle sortie,nouvelle rencontre.Cette fois-ci avec cette femelle orignal et son veau de 10 ou 11 mois.Tous les deux dans le sentier en train de brouter les branches de conifčres.J'ai choisie cette photo,que j'ai recadré,pour son coté intime,car elle nous regardait droit dans les yeux.Animal calme,je suis ici ŕ une distance de 10 mčtres environ.Nous avons dű insister pour qu'ils libčrent le passage.
Another outing,another meeting.This time with this female moose and her calf,aged about 10 to 11 months old.Both were grazing on the coniferous twigs and branches.I choose this photo which I cropped to accentuate the intimity of the meeting,since she was looking directly at the photographer,only the smile is missing.Very calm animal,I am standing at about 10 meters from her.In fact,we almost had to push them out of the trail.

Hi Charles,
I like much animals, it's us life on earth, also this beast is lovely for looking, a pity this is the head only, but maybe later it beast total in image, you macro its maybe little unsharp.
But two points for the effort.

Hi Charles. I like the nice close in framing. I agree with jhm that it is a little unsharp; perhaps we cropped too much out. I would try two things to avoid this. First off I would run an aggressive unsharp mask to sharpen it up; secondly I would resize the picture to say 600 or 650 pixels in height. That would help hide the fact we're working at a reduced resolution and everything would look better. A valiant effort though. I've never even seen one in the wild. That will probably change when I go to Yellowstone next September!

Héhéhé...sympa, la rencontre! J'aime beaucoup les élans..j'ai fait des rencontres de la sorte en Finlande aussi.. Un beau portrait..;o)

Sans mention de recadrage, j'aurais été sceptique de savoir qu'un photographa aît pu capter cette femelle orignal et son veau de si prčs dans un milieu narurel.

Il y a quelques années, TE n'était pas inventé, j'ai eu a cotoyer des orignaux en canot dans la région de Kiskissing au Saguenay et on a fait les peurreux...on en a ramé un coup. (Jean-Pierre)
