Photographer's Note
This photo was taken at Chinguacousy Park, in Brampton. This thirsty little critter did everything possible to finally get it's drink!
This type of squirrel is actually called a Grey Squirrel. The scientific name for the Eastern Grey Squirrel is Sciurus Caroliniensis, but don't ask me how to pronounce that.
The Grey Squirrel actually comes in a variety of colors -- black, red and the predominant gray. Albinos are also relatively common. They are active year-round and cannot live in a treeless environment. They feed on a great variety of things, such as nuts, seeds, fungi, fruits, and the cambium layer of tree bark.
**Interesting Fact:
Gray squirrels can swim up to two miles in calm water; they swim with their heads and rumps out of the water, and their tails held high in the air. Most squirrels spend their entire lives within a single acre of land.
**Post Pro - Cropped the left side, Dodge tool to lighten the squirrel's fur, and USM.

What a great shot Pamela. Well done, you must have been quick to catch this one. Your vertical composition is really good and I`d say you have him ideally placed. We have grey squirrels here in UK but they look different from this guy.

Framing, depth-of-field, composition - all perfect. This shot stands up for itself, but you've also added a great note.
In the UK the N. American grey squirrels have mostly supplanted the native red ones.

Great use of zoom and DOF. Great angle creating the diagonal line of the fence board. Good work, Pam.
