Montmorency Falls in winter is an unforgetable sight. Eventhough Lonely Planet will describe it as a trap for tourists It's should not to be missed it in winter specially if you had never seem a frozem fall before (which was our case). It was our first trip out of the Montreal region and we really enjoyed our day outdoors. There were some family enjoying the slops of side hill, others treking the path to the top and those corageous people doing some iciclimbing. It seems some people go there to train or learn iciclibing. I wouldn't try it, but found intresting to photograph the contrast of the people on the white rock was atractive to me.
On that year, because of the low temperatures the falls were almost completely frozen. If you ever have a chance to go there the best view is from the bridge, on other periods of the year the falls don't look anything nearly impressive.
