Photographer's Note
Bright winter sun, deep shadows, sun hats, colorful houses, cobbled streets, Mayan Indian women and children standing, hawking, playing, crowds of people in street corners doing nothing at all...this is San Cristobal de Las Casas today

A lot is going on in the photo. I like that very much. It keeps my eyes busy. I think I could look at this image and always find something that I didn't see before.
Love the colors and his hat!
Well done!

Hello Animesh. What a great street shot, nice 3 components, the man in the hat walking by, the colorful, nearly absurd poster which contrasts the man with the hat quite well, and the family in the background. The great looks good and the colors come out nice.

Hello Animesh!
What a shot, it is outstanding in its composition and colours! I have recognized the same style of house as the one you posted here a while ago of the same city... there is something truly amazing to this shot and that is hard to put my finger on... is it this cowboy hat? Or the hat just in front of that old red car? Or the typical rounded shape of the advertising column, like those I used to see in Budapest in my childhood?
Whatever is the real holding, there is one that truly captivates me. Fantastic shot!

Wow Animesh, you have really captured the colour of Mexico! And on top of that the composition of this shot is wonderful: Mr. Cowboy Hat, the Lucha Libre poster, the active street, the paper banners hanging over the road, the shadows, the spot of sky criss-crossed with power lines, all of them somehow gelling into a single, unified image. Everything bustling, everything lively, and everything bright.
Exceptional!

Fine image, Animesh. Catches the essence of the place. I like the framing of the hat and the close approach.

the ultimate colorful image, Animesh.
And quite a change if compared to the sober images you´re used to showing us.
the compositon works beautifully here but i see the hat/head in the foreground as the cherry on top.

Hello Animesh,
A place I know, San Cristobal, but I must admit I don't have such a moody picture I remember people were not too pleased when they saw me brandishing a camera, but here everything seems to work well, starting with the sunny day, the colors, the hat, and the street.
All the best - Izzet

Lots of points of interest but you have fused them all together very harmoniously. So many colours, lines, shapes, objects, people, buildings, cars, the road, the sky, the posters, the list just goes on...
Not my kind of picture, but its really inspiring...definately something that I'll be experimenting with.
