Photographer's Note
Let me introduce you to Isla Holbox, an sand island paradise on the northern tip of the Yucatan Peninsula. Read this article first. If it still doesn't entice you to go, look at the photo. This is the beach outside our hotel, and at any time, there was usually about 4 - 6 people in the water as far as your eye can see. At most.
Then there is the cheap and plentiful seafood. And the fact that there are no cars, no paved roads, and no one trying to cheat you or rob you blind. If you are there at the right time, you get to swim in the sea with turtles, mantas and whale sharks. We walked everywhere barefoot.
The beach is always calm, and bath water temperature. It is very very shallow (as you can see from the person in the water) so if you have young kids they will be safe. It's pretty cheap, and not that hard to get to from Cancun.

Hi, Lynn, Ni Hao! I think there are three ways to improve this lovely image: try to take the horizon describing a completely horizontal line (now it's a bit inclined), try to show the whole boat on the left (now we just see a part of it), and try to give a more dramatic light just with a wider shutter opening or a longer time of exposure. Regards.
