Photographer's Note
A pair of Maya boys who earn a few pesos by polishing shoes at the Centro just spent their money in a video game parlor, then went down the street and got hooked by a TV set in a little store.

I feel sheepish because today I ate too much and felt bad about my life which is so easy, in fact...
Your photo is good. In my opinion, sepia tone is a good idea, and i'm glad you haven't cropped the road behind them : it's were they are working and spending most of their time, instead of living what I call a real childhood with school and innocence... That way, the street behind them means a lot of things very important, and it's part of their story.

Hi Animesh. this is a good shot, however i think a different PoV would have been better... one the also shows the TV, maybe with a little tilt... just an idea. But it is so common to see people watching TV like this... especially if there is a futbol game on.

An excellent street shot, Animesh, of two beautiful Indian boys, having such noble Mayan profile, yet working so hard. A lovely catch of the intentness with which they are watching a bit of tv on the street where they earn their few pesos. I like the stark contrasts here, they work well, and the sepia tones are beautiful as well.

Good note. Intense staring of the boys towards altar of entertainment. Tells itself a lot of those surroundings. Sepia works well.

I really like your shot. I think it is really intriging that I don't know what the boys are looking at. They are on the street and looking into somewhere with prison bars. It gives it a reverse prison feel.
I did a w/s to see if it would look good to have a crop that is tighter and take out the excess wall coming towards you. Have a look, I don't know if i like it or not.
thanks for sharing,

Rare for you to go the "sepia"road, Animesh, but somehow well chosen here as these poor boys kneel in prayer before the telly. Great feel for the locale, you made this scene your own as only an "auteur" could. Good old Leica M!
Cheers,
Francis
