Every week try I to bring a visit to my tea-room together my wife, for drink a good cup of coffee with sight on the Napoleon canal.
These picture is taken with the entrance gate of the old St Christopher farm, to the right side on the picture.

St Christopher Farm

This beautiful old farmhouse is situated on the west bank of the Damme canal. This farm existed in the 16th century under the same name. It was a chateau (castle well "the Proostdije") when it was purchased in 1755 by Canon van der Stricht, who also owned the gothic house "The Big Star" on the market of Damme.
The farm is fenced, access is possible via the stunning 18th century gate. Above the entrance we see the shield with the motto of Canon van der Stricht, you can also see on the facade of the house "the Great Star." The complex comprises a main house includes a carriage house, barn and sheep shed. Note the exceptional roof (attic). Besides St. Christopher farm is another old farm called "d'Former Sheepfold".

I hope you enjoy of this one.
