Photographer's Note
This is a young polar bear playing with leaves. It surprised me to see that both the baby and the mother liked to eat leaves. I noticed one of the keepers taking notes. They apparently were trying to find out what sort of leaves/branches were most appealing. I believe this cub was eventually named Payton after the famous Chicago Bears--football team-- running back Walter Payton.
