Photographer's Note
The Crisp Point Light has aided Lake Superior traffic for a long time. More recently the lake has been eating away at the shoreline and now threatens this old light. The living quarters are gone now and locals are bringing in larger boulders to prevent the inevitable. Goal here was to silhouette the light and allow the sky to create life within the image. Now that you have spent the time reading and looking, please spend a couple seconds telling me what you think.

It's a pretty striking image John, but some of the things in the lower part of the picture are a bit distracting. For pure minimalism maybe you could try a crop, or the same shot at another time framed slightly differently. Great sky too!

Ok I have viewed the photograph and conclude you enjoy the challenge of dramatic skies; as do I. I like in particular how you; and I am assuming this; hid what sun there was from view. The wispy clouds add to the photograph. Others would probably like to see that the light house indeed was grounded.

I viewed the photograph and read the note. The sky is epic. The bottom of the photograph is a bit dark and tghe lighthouse is not anchored, but I like the concept.
