Photographer's Note
Greenwich is located in southern New Jersey. In the 1700's it was a major port of entry for the east coast. Ships would dock in Greenwich and goods would then be shipped north to cities such as Philadelphia, PA and Trenton, NJ.
Today it is a sleepy, picturesque village filled with beautiful historical homes -- most of which have been restored.
The home where this garage is located has a sad tale to tell. It is a mansion that at one time belonged to a wealthy merchant. The current owner has not done any repairs to the property in years and has just let it go to ruin. The recent hurricane destroyed an old wharfside building on the property but this garage somehow managed to survive.

GATTACA

Interesting nostalgic subject. But I would prefer it in real B&W. Also, the top and the bottom of the picture (trees and ground) are too wild for me. I think that framing it tighter would had to the feeling of mess and abandon because the look doesn't have so much possibility to escape and "have a break" among all the element.
See my workshop and tell us what you think about it.
Thanks for the comment about the history of your picture and the place it was shot.

Very interesting picture, and an interesting sad story to go with it! I just saw the two versions, and I can't say which one is better. Both are powerful story-laden images.

Hi Linda!
After the first look of this photo I woundered if it would be better in B&W but seeing GATTACA´s try I think your version is more soft. The B&W version became too sharp.
I like the way the nature seemes to have taken the total control.
