Photographer's Note

My last shot of the New Jersey State House today, this one a closer look. The New Jersey State House is somewhat unique in its location; while most State Houses are on a fairly large amount of open land, New Jersey's is wedged into a busy downtown area. It has been expanded several times, and has a cramped feel on the exterior, as well as a mix of architectural styles.

This shot, taken from the Legislative Parking Lot on the southern side of the building, shows that cramped building style, with an alley built into the structure and the small golden dome above, visible between the old fire escapes. The shot was taken near sunset with a nice golden glow reflecting off the dome and onto the edge of the building.
