Photographer's Note
I found this unusual composition on one of my many walks through Bonaventure. This was taken in the veterans section. There are alot of meanings that this image can have. I'll let you decide what it has to say to you. On a more technical note. This is a scan of a Holga negative. It was split toned via rgb levels and spottoned via clone tool. Let me know what you think

A very powerful composition and it works well in B&W. Such a sign seems totally out of place in a cemetery.
Nice work, well seen.

Good morning, Hugh,
I guess "tasteless" is the word that comes to mind. Perhaps you could bring your paint brush just for fun next time and add the words, "for rent or lease."
Seriously, advertising a space waiting to be filled in a veterans' cemetery in a time of war is just a little over the top for me. I don't know what sort of thinking went into it--I suspect not much. From an artistic point of view, the sign gives an unsettling sense of personality to each of the headstones behind it. I think your signature surrealistic blur above is very apropos to the scene.
Kind regards,
Lisa
