Burnt Window, a photo from Georgia, South

Photographer's Note

This is not exactly a touristy sort of spot, but this burnt out old service station/tire store had a desolate beauty. I took a number of lovely pictures of it before they demolished it. Found the negatives a few weeks ago and decided to scan it with the good scanner.

Great image, it certainly scanned well. I like the choice of B&W. I like that we have a view through one window and then another. The texture of the wall looks great with its peeling paint. I really like this one.

Very nice. I'm always a fan of decay and aging shots. Places like this are gone in no time and having fragments of memory from their existence is kind of a reminder of our own impermanence. I really like the window within a window within a window here. And the broken angled window adds a dynamic to the shot as well. Good tone in B+W conversion. Thanks for sharing here. I like it. Maybe crop just a bit off the right to lose that thing on the wall.

This is one amazing composition...an abstract tone-poem! I love it. Your work with the isola and isolette are just fabulous.
